Raqqa

Located on the left bank of Euphrates between Aleppo and Deir al-zor. It’s an ancient city rebuilt by Alexander the Great in the 4th century B.C. The Caliph al - Mansur re built Raqqa as his second capital imitating the style of Baghdad .
